Introduction

Transforming images and moods into music was one of Marco Santilli's key issues when composing these jazz tunes. Another very important point was to write music for the clarinet that respects its manifold timbres, its range of almost four octaves and the vast articulation techniques. In this project, you get to hear the clarinet's smooth, creamy tone: warm and resonant low down, bright and clear up high.

Marco is delighted to have Paolo Alderighi on board, a jazz pianist who is considered one of Italy's most important emerging musicians at an international level. Paolo's musical ideas are captivating and his play contributes greatly to these compositions. He simultanously provides the pulse, states the harmony and interacts with the clarinet using melodic fragments.
